@valuetainment Now that this trend is being reported, I'm sure Strava will have an update soon that only shows data for cities & towns rather than letting you see street- or block-level activity.
We wouldn't want to deprive the poorest folks in cities their Strava runners (to rob) :(((
@Hethrus@scumfuxktrevor@lllHorizonlll But that leverage can (and will) be used to get Canada in alignment on our trade policy to decouple from China.
Doesn't matter what the average Canadian or Texan household wealth is when the US can bully Canada regardless. This big stuff is where GDP makes the difference.
@StatisticUrban Sounds to me like it wasn't China saving the Republican Party, but Trump & company knowing China would have to make this play or take a lot of pain.
So they knew they'd be able to play their cards w/Iran and still be in a decent place come midterms...
@aphysicist It's up to Texas, Louisiana, or Alabama at this point. Maybe some Atlantic-coast states too.
California and Washington won't let anyone build anymore, unfortunately...
@atlanticesque Not gonna happen in the US for a while...basically all DEI and "inclusivity" would put a total ban on a person made up of the two "privileged" racial groups being the head of anything that would make them a world historical figure.
Maybe except President.
@mattyglesias I feel like the new H-1B fee isn't as much a barrier for these people. If the next top AI researcher is in India, the "labs" wouldn't blink at paying 100k to get that guy over here.
@scumfuxktrevor@lllHorizonlll Does the average wealth of a household matter one iota when it comes to international relations and trade disputes?
Or is it who has the bigger, stronger economy (and military) for more leverage?
@raptorsx95@lllHorizonlll We'll see how well-off Canadians are as this trade war heats up and you're not allowed to free-ride off preferential trade with the largest market in the world.
Plus, it seems like more jobs coming back to the US from Canada would help the poorest Americans...
I hate it when the left uses the tactic of stating the law or the rules to avoid talking about unlawful behaviors or changes in how the rules are applied.
For example, in the Oxford debates with Tommy Robinson, he was talking about Sharia law and Sharia courts in the UK.

Lefty: "Uh, hello stupid? Murder is LITERALLY illegal??"
Yes, it is. But the punishment for that is certainly not the same for all people. The trend of punishing Black people and Muslims less harshly for the same crimesβand less harshly for WORSE crimesβthan White people, is
