In his first year playing on the offensive side of the ball, Cole was a force to be reckoned with as he racked up over 1,000 yards rushing and over 200 yards receiving. Cole is an explosive athlete on the field and that athletic trait is also exemplified in track and field as he is a stand out long jumper.

Coach Cunningham is entering his third year with the Mustangs following a legendary tenure at Plano Prestonwood. Once again, the Mustangs face a quarterback battle as fall camp approaches, with Avery Morgan and Permian transfer Evan Garrett vying for the starting spot. The runner-up in this competition will likely contribute as a formidable receiving threat. The running back position presents the biggest offensive question mark, lacking varsity experience among current rostered players. However, Speedster Colton Alexander and Boston Rodriguez bring back their varsity experience at receiver, poised to play pivotal roles in the passing game. A strength for the Mustangs lies in their offensive line, anchored by Division 1 talent Rowdy Pearce. On defense, the Mustangs traditionally excel and will once again lean on this unit to keep them competitive. Isaiah Matthews stands out as a promising defensive end, anticipated to disrupt opponents' backfields. Linebackers Avery Morgan, Brady Young, and Coy Hayes all return as starters, providing continuity and leadership. In the secondary, Boston Rodriguez, Noah Phillips, Case Cole, and Cutter Smith bring back valuable varsity experience, fortifying the defensive backfield. While the Mustangs boast strong individual talents, the competitiveness of their schedule suggests another challenging season ahead.
