¼ #WSTC7 #DistSesh4 Country Island hosts the largest colony of Arctic and Common terns in #NovaScotia. These species segregate diet elsewhere, but chick diet shows broad intraspecific dietary overlap. Where do adults forage and what do they consume? #ornithology

¾ #WSTC7 #DistSesh4 Plasma isotope analysis revealed large dietary overlap b/w Arctic and Common terns, with greater overlap between species within years than between years for each species. Both species consumed more marine inverts early in season and more fish later in season.
