Lil Pump is sounding off on J. Cole apologizing to Kendrick Lamar. While on a livestream with DJ Akademiks on January 23, Pump weighed in on Cole’s 2024 apology following his diss on “7 Minute Drill,” calling the move “soft” and claiming Cole is a “pu**y” while also revisiting his long-running issues with the Dreamville rapper.

Pump and Cole’s tension dates back to 2017, when Pump previewed a song titled “F**k J. Cole.” The situation escalated in 2018 after Cole released “1985 (Intro to The Fall Off)” on KOD, a track widely viewed as a response to the younger generation of rappers, including Pump. The back-and-forth eventually led to the two having a face-to-face sit-down (May 2018).

When looking back on the situation, Lil Pump said he feels he must’ve done something right if J. Cole let the words of a 17-year-old get under his skin. He also revealed that before filming their sit-down interview in 2018, he went through Cole’s refrigerator and ate his snacks.
