@Ivan_The_Husky@russkyd11 You asked the question, if you have a billionaire owner should you spend what you want? I answered yes. What I’m trying to get across is that the ‘big 6’, not limited to Spurs, especially Chelsea/City got to their status now through rule-free spending. Now, it’s not allowed.
@indiawhiteguy@GarySmithJnr Tbh we are going into our fourth consecutive European season, 2 of which CL. I understand why Spurs can spend, but more frustrated that we’re so restricted.
@indiawhiteguy@GarySmithJnr Ignore Spurs, though players like Modric, Bale, Kane etc all left to enormous clubs to go and win things.
I see the issue with the fact Chelsea and City got to the point they are now through huge spending, now rules don’t allow it. Us or Newcastle will never be able to catch up.
@CahillSam79276@russkyd11 Missing the point kid, the reason the ‘big six’ generate money is because they could invest heavily pre-PSR. Now it’s here, it’s impossible for us or Newcastle to catch up
@danpawley81@dancozens97@russkyd11 I’m not targeting Spurs specifically. What frustrates us is PSR wasn’t around when the ‘big six’ established themselves. Clubs could spend whatever, especially Chelsea and City, putting them where they are now. Now with PSR, clubs like Villa and Newcastle can’t catch up.
@dancozens97@russkyd11 Not really the point. The ‘big 6’ teams largely were able to get to this current point through spending money historically to become successful now. Especially Chelsea and Man City. Now the rule changes mean no one can get close to them.
