Love that Russell Findlay and Anas Sarwar refsing to stand down after leading their parties to their worst ever results in Devolution. Lack of judgement or self-reflection is astonishing ...
I'd be hammering at John Swinney's door if he said he would be talking to Reform. Why? Just a few examples. They have an MSP who wants to deport all Muslims. They targeted bi-lingual children in Glasgow. Children. They have dehumanised asylum seekers to the point where they >
It was a pleasure to speak with Michelle O’Neill, Mary Lou McDonald and John Swinney today.
The potential of Wales, Scotland and Ireland each having First Ministers who believe in the right of their people to self-determination represents a historic moment for these islands

@TeachInGlasgow@MhairiHunter@AFrazzledScot The SNP asked for both votes. The voters decided to back Green on the list, despite the SNP request. Voters got what they wanted.
This afternoon Michelle O’Neill and I spoke with @RhunapIorwerth of Plaid Cymru and @JohnSwinney of the SNP on their historic election results. The demand for independence is growing. We look forward to working together in common cause. 🇮🇪🏴🏴
Mary Lou McDonald and I have spoken today with SNP leader John Swinney and Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth.
The momentum for constitutional change across these islands is now greater than ever.
People in Ireland, Scotland and Wales are looking towards a future beyond the Union, where we have full control over our own affairs.
We discussed the enormous significance of this week’s election results, and the historic potential of having three nationalist, pro-independence First Ministers.
We agreed to continue working together to strengthen the friendship between our nations, and to stand up for the democratic right of our people to self-determination.
@MhairiHunter@AFrazzledScot Yes, to a degree, but with unionist split caused by emergence of Reform and the polls showing SNP so far ahead in the constituencies, it was far easier to know where to vote SNP 1&2 or SNP 1 & Indy 2 to maximise indy result. Maybe not next time as we'll be independent (I wish).
John Swinney has warned Westminster of the growing 'significance' of the so-called 'Celtic fringe'
🗣️ 'What people in London like to refer to, rather patronisingly, as the Celtic Fringe is very much about to take become centre stage'
I’ve been railing against the complete lack of standards in public life in Trump’s America but this headline brings the UK’s and Scotland’s very low too. Never thought I would see the day. Horrendous people at this newspaper obviously. Hope they’re punished.
@PolitlcsUK You’ve missed the crucial statistic in these testing times for the “Union”. A 73-56 pro indy majority (the 4th in a row and the biggest one yet). That’s equivalent to an 85 seat Westminster majority. Ok?
The first past the post part of the election in Scotland. Can you imagine a result like that in Westminster and the party with 57 being told "you don't have a mandate for your key policy"?
