@ShreyaD49679799 @omnistruck anything really colored but when it comes to skin tone, it must remain loyal to the source material (even when it’s mostly not). maybe i’m reaching but the idea that pink hair is more common than brown skin in a fantasy game about different cultures sounds inherently colorist.

@ShreyaD49679799 @omnistruck enough to be sending that message. i still believe that, at the very least, the exclusion of dark and brown skin does much exist. even if the npc’s might be portrayed well, the playable characters are… i mean, there are 60(?) characters and 4 of them are below super pale.

@ShreyaD49679799 @omnistruck even if that is the case, it still pushes a point of “light skin = smart, dark skin = dumb, brutish”. throughout the entire game these are the ONLY group of people with diverse skin tones, not to mention there are only FOUR playable characters with a skintone below pure white.
