Interesting that a group representing residents against Western Sydney Airport don't believe in free speech and have blocked me. I gather it's due to me correcting any factual errors in their posts. Flight paths being released soon for public consultation.
Selection of propellers to feather in flight leads to loss of control: https://t.co/7l9Fzuigp1 Classic example of where video footage in the cockpit would help to understand the actions of the crew leading up to this accident.
@icao Time to mandate cameras in the Cockpit. With so many Pilots filming themselves during critical phases of flight where the cockpit should be sterile, surely there will be no objection if treated in the same manner as the CVR.
@AviationWeek I am interested in the maintenance requirements and expected TBO of all those electrical motors. Will they be able to be overhauled or just thrown out?
@sceptical2403 @Rawsa7 @flyWSA If you are really interested in existing aircraft movements I suggest you take a look at the WebTrak site which provides noise monitoring. https://t.co/aD3wHI1J5H
@sqljohn @Rawsa7 @flyWSA What I am trying to help you understand is its not up to the airport to design the flight paths. All of us in Aviation actually know what to expect based on the ICAO Pan Ops requirements.
@igv_ignacio @Aseem7771 @gizamichal@breakingavnews Not quite. Look up critical point, point of no return and look at the aircraft's limitations. For planning we look at the most limiting emergency that could happen en-route then plan accordingly. Its either return to departure point, or continue to arrival port or alternate.
@gizamichal@breakingavnews Michal, short answer is yes. Before a flight leaves the crew look at how the flight is limited and what would cause the most fuel burn in case of an emergency, then plan accordingly. This is a simplified answer. Look up critical point and point of no return.
@airbus_al@breakingavnews Agreed. Now the perception amongst his peers may be that they all get to do something similar on their last flights. Could have gone very wrong.
