@Chowdhury_Anee And India will be more vigilant to counter BD’s aggression of Mecca Pact & Chinese J10s. Wait and watch - the chicken’s neck will become Elephant’s neck!

Women Power in India !! 😝😛🤣
On Friday afternoon, Presidential residence of India(Rashtrapati Bhavan) announced that Saturday’s Change of Guard ceremony was cancelled to allow a rehearsal for the ceremonial welcome of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Barely an hour later it withdrew the release. No visit had been confirmed by either government. Dhaka issued nothing that day. Whatever confusion exists, it played out inside a single building in New Delhi.
Now put the two capitals side by side and look at what each has actually said. Bangladesh’s record is dry and procedural. Its foreign ministry stated that officials had been in touch for weeks about a possible visit, that the process was vitiated by Sheikh Hasina’s press interaction in New Delhi on 5 August, and that Dhaka had also asked for the handover of Sharif Osman Hadi’s accused killers under the extradition treaty.
Dates, treaty clauses, one named grievance. The heat has come from the Indian side, and mostly from its retired diplomats.
One former High Commissioner called Bangladesh’s position “rude” and “arrogant.” The same voice had earlier put the 2024 uprising down to foreign influence rather than to students. Think about what that second claim does. It tells Bangladeshis that the defining event of their recent history was staged by outsiders. You cannot insult a country’s founding moment and then wonder why its prime minister hesitates over your invitation.
The usual defence is that these are private citizens. In Delhi that is a polite fiction. Retired envoys there are quoted by wire agencies within hours and almost never corrected by the ministry, so in Dhaka their words land as messages the government wanted delivered without its fingerprints.
Nor is the extradition demand the tantrum it is made out to be. The request made in November 2025 was already the third since Hasina fled. India’s standing reply is that the requests are “being examined as part of our established processes.” After twenty months India is still examining? Give Elon Musk the same time he will come up with one space X extra large.
The border tells the same story in blood rather than paper. Ain o Salish Kendra counted 34 Bangladeshis killed by the BSF in 2025, and 285 shot dead between 2014 and this February. Ten more died in the first six months of this year, with an elected government in Dhaka and friendship on every Indian talking point.
So consider what Delhi is actually asking for. Tarique Rahman’s alliance took 212 of 299 seats on a promise to put Bangladesh’s own interests first, from an electorate that stopped being afraid since July 2024.
A guard of honour in the city that shelters the individual convicted over the killings behind that mandate is no diplomacy but a trap, trap for a photograph and media frenzy, and those would be used against him for the rest of his term.
The sequence should run the other way: a real answer on Hasina, cooperation on the Hadi murder accused, visible development at the border.
Do that and no one will need to cancel a ceremony to rehearse his welcome.

Thats women empowerment in India !!
@iSoumikSaheb India is a huge and diverse country. People in South think different from
Those in north. So do ppl in east from west or northeast or any other region. It is practically impossible to do a survey like this no matter what sample size or lot is being considered.
@ZafarSobhan@JonFDanilowicz It would be interesting to understand to have survey which reflects sentiments of 25% of India‘s extremely heterogenous population , what sample size and type was used ?
@AhmedShahAzfar Pakistan was created on 14th August. India got independence from British. It shud be Creation Day of Pakistan - which is not even same size as it was created today !
@muktadirnewage It was India’s independence. Pakistan just got created on that day ! And the Pakistan created on that day is not even same as today’s Pakistan !
