Interested in learning to code or trying something new? This Perspective introduces biologists interested in computational approaches to the benefits of the Julia programming language for meeting current and future computational demands. https://t.co/L5q8m8uByF
Really cool feature of #julialang#sciml in the Dec edition of AIAA's Aerospace America magazine for control of unmanned aerial systems on embedded hardware. Great work by AFRL!
If you're attending #SC22 and want to know more about #JuliaLang, come to our BoF session "Julia for #HPC" at 12:15 in room D163: https://t.co/3NjgRZhPO7. We'll talk about opportunities to empower HPC users with this language and its future challenges. #UCLatSC22

Since @JuliaConOrg is virtual this year again, many local meetups are organizing something during the conference!
I am really excited about this! It's the right balance between the community feeling of in-person and inclusivity of a global online event.

Usually when teaching maths, I'm happy to handle abstractions. When a middle schooler is curious about square roots and negative numbers, I can briefly describe imaginary numbers without falling all the way down to quantum mechanics. I don't know how to do that with stats. Help!
Teaching a high schooler some statistics. Should I show them the issues with using p-values, or should I help them pass their exam. Following people like @statsepi has spoilt my ability to do this.
While I'm being somewhat facetious, there's a real question here. What do you do when a reasonably switched on teenager asks - "this does not make sense". How deep down the rabbit hole do you go?
They got চাটগাঁইয়া wrong as well. Wonder what tool they used for rendering. I thought CTL was a solved problem in most renderers these days. At least all browsers do this well. https://t.co/ThdmK8Epyx
Can't believe it's been 10 years since I read the blog post announcing this new programming language called Julia. Since then, it's changed my life, and I reckon it's changed the world a little bit. #Julialang10Years
10 years ago, the original "Why We Created Julia" blog post was published. Today, we released a new blog post highlighting community members sharing "Why We Use Julia, 10 Years Later":
