The imbalance in PLI schemes illustrates an imbalanced workforce—time for fair development that raises ALL bank employees! #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia
An agreement must be honoured. A reward system must be fair.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5 Day Work Week for bank employees was agreed in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. Its implementation cannot remain pending indefinitely.
At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.
Every achievement of our banks is the outcome of collective effort.
Recognition too must reflect that collective contribution.
We seek no privilege, only implementation of an agreed commitment, equality in reward and dignity at work.
@PMOIndia
The commitment for a 5-day workweek in banking has been pending for far too long.
This is about dignity, health, and sustainable performance.
Honour it. Notify it. Implement it.

"Leaders fooling themselves or fooling us? Is the strike on 27th really happening?"
So, the UFBU has called for a strike on 27th January, but there’s a conciliation meeting on 22nd January. According to the law, no strike is allowed during conciliation or for 7 days after. That means a strike on the 27th isn’t even legal unless something changes.
Are the leaders fooling themselves into thinking this is possible, or are they just trying to fool the rest of us into believing the drama?
It’s time to ask: Is this strike actually going to happen, or is it just another empty threat to keep us all on edge? Leaders, if you can’t even follow the basic legal steps, how can we trust you with anything else?
Members, are you ready to wake up and demand better from your leaders? We deserve more than just empty strikes and broken promises

Switching to a 5-day work week gives banks the chance to innovate and improve their services without compromising on quality. #Implement5DayBanking https://t.co/XnuydLxhhs
A better banking experience starts with a sustainable workweek. With acute staff shortages and mounting stress, 5-day banking is about public service and employee well-being, not a privilege.
UFBU has been pressing since 2015; IBA has already recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024) records the Saturday holiday clause, pending approvals/clearances.
Honour what’s on record. Approve all Saturdays off.
