@Nightli58405647@zuhaitz_dev That’s fair. I just think that as soon as you go down to Base 1, you lose the concepts of multiple values per spot, so the symbols matter less if at all. But you’d probably still want to make sure it’s the same symbol if their value is interchangeable
@zuhaitz_dev Maybe so, but if I gave you the number 1234 and told you it was base 1, you’d probably figure out it was a 4 in base 10 and that I, given there is no need for the concept of distinct digits in base 1, use an arbitrary symbol to count upwards. Same for 123 + 456 = 123456
@ForkLover123@zuhaitz_dev define base 1‘s alphabet as any character at all, only the placement/existence matters. The number 4 can be:
alphabet {0}: 0000
alphabet {0-3}: 0123
alphabet {a-z}: wxyz
@ForkLover123@zuhaitz_dev Base 2 doesn’t have 2, by that logic Base 1 would only have 0. not 1.
But that’s besides the point. 0-9 are symbols used to represent base 10. you can chose arbitrary symbols. Just as base 2 can be represented by power on / off, which is not the same as 1 or 0, you can chose to
