Steward: Is there a doctor on board?
SRE's mom: <nudging SRE> That should've been you
SRE: Not now, mom
Mom: Not asking for an SRE are they?
SRE: Mom there's a medical emergency happening right now
Mom: Go and see if saying "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" helps
@Postvox There's a bug on your website. If you track an item, then click "View item history", the page says you can tick a box and download the proof of delivery. But the tick box is missing.
The tick box is only available on the previous page.
@evilgaywitch Oof. Thanks for the note. They're getting added to the list. That's some BS.
Post-covid I'm note sure where is really great.
Kerala Kitchen on Baggot St were a fantastic little gem, I hope they still are. Very real, good food. Good chai, good lassi.
@emmawartzman Hi, just read your great BA article on non-stick pans! Wanted to share something: You mention PTFE is safe, and it's true for humans. But Overheating PTFE is *super* toxic to birds and it's something many bird owners don't know. Any chance you could note this? :)
@AerLingus How is it that when a flight is delayed, your mobile app and website can both say "All flights in this booking have already flown." and delete the boarding passes so we can't get on the plane?
The plane sitting right in front of us.
The one that hasn't actually flown.
@LibertyIRL 1. Sadly that's not right, it first goes to a URL from your email service provider. From the email itself there's no way to tell where it then ends up
2. It goes to https://t.co/FUNPGTQyhN
3. It lets me reuse my existing password which tells me you don't actually need it reset.
@LibertyIRL We've spent years trying to convince people not to click on "Reset your password" emails, because they're a prime way accounts get compromised and taken over.
And then you go and send an email like this to your customers.
Very poor form.
Everywhere else they've spelled the words correctly, accepting this one very particular place.
Shinoda raps.
But "countdon"? I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. There is clearly something going on though.
So the Linkin Park website got updated.
Now it has a dialog box that references a virus that was shared using their name online wire 15 years ago.
If you click the button it pretends something went wrong and then has a countdown timer that expires at 6:00 p.m. GMT on Wednesday 1/
Even better is when you dive into the code for the website, it's pretty simple and you can see where the blue page is being displayed.
What's more fascinating is what they called that div:
countdon-rapper
Not countdown-wrapper.

@blueben@mikefiedler@patrickdebois@opsschool Such good memories! Let me see if we still have that doc somewhere. At the time it broke google docs because of the size + number of concurrent editors.
