Scheme for Incentivising e-Trucks under PM E-DRIVE

The Ministry of Heavy Industries is promoting the adoption of zero-emission e-trucks to enable a cleaner and cost-effective freight ecosystem.

Key beneficiaries of this scheme include the cement industry, ports, steel sector, and the logistics industry, which will benefit significantly from reduced operational costs and improved efficiency. A major step towards sustainable industrial growth and green mobility.

Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi, Union Minister of Heavy Industries & Steel, Shri @hd_kumaraswamy, launched the scheme to incentivise e-Trucks under the PM E-DRIVE.

This is the first time that the Government of India has introduced dedicated support for electric trucks to help the country’s transition to clean and sustainable freight mobility.

This scheme is a strategic move towards reducing emissions from heavy-duty vehicles and reaffirms India’s commitment to achieving its net-zero emissions target by 2070.
