I was not surprised the Supreme Court killed the tariffs. I was surprised it wasn’t a unanimous decision.

@HazzardCoEng @dccommonsense In oral arguments, Justice Gorsuch directly asked the SG if a future POTUS could use this precedent to unilaterally declare a “climate emergency” and impose a 50% tariff on gas-powered cars. The SG said "that would be very likely"

So yes, this was a victory against exactly that.
