starting clinicals is so funny cause it literally feels like I’m part of a medical show. The fast pace walking with the whole team while giving an intro, especially.
Someone compared me to dr. Sean Murphy today. Not sure if they meant it in a good way or not haha
Half of the current drivers in LA don’t deserve a driver’s license for example, but until we have good public transportation to a point where the wealthy are using it (like in Switzerland and most of Europe), we can’t fail people on their driving test.
The driving test is too simple.
The issue is that we don’t have a well connected public transport system, and in the US, you can’t walk anywhere, so the government chooses to hand out driver licenses so the people can go to work and engage in the economy.
This remote changed everything. I connected it to my iPad so I can chip away at my Anki while walking on the treadmill, walking on the stairmaster, or biking. Shameless plug for my good friend @avoug who made a video on how to connect it: https://t.co/RTFAkzIyQb
Choose your words wisely because it’s not that the person is not fit to be in a certain industry, rather you’re too lazy to get out of the mold you constrained your agency in.
My favorite moments as a photographer have been when I get to disprove incorrect statements other people/agencies/brands have said to my client/model in the past.
Even if that’s what your hunch was after asking a question, don’t say “that’s what I thought” after getting an answer. It never comes out right.
Instead you can say “makes sense, thank you”
The better you are at your job, the less people know about you or your job.
Only when there are issues, do people seek to learn the reason and who they can blame.
@FightHaven It’s mathematically $100, but I’d argue it’s less than $100.
When they bought from the store, those items have mark-ups to give the store profit.
So the store didn’t lose $70 of product. If there is a 20% markup on everything, the store lost $30 cash + 80% of 70. = 30+56 = $86
