From June 16, Mahan Air resuming service between Tehran and Lahore with once-a-week flight.
@SenatorSaleem Sir, they have two wet leased ATR 72 aircraft. One registered in Lithuania as LY-JUA and the other one registered in Maldives as 8Q-RAY.
May 25 photos of both aircraft LY-JUA in Sukkur and 8Q-RAY in Gwadar attached.
Aircraft registration LY-JUA is in South Air livery.
South Air planning to induct an ATR 42.
Presently, the airline has two ATR 72 aircraft in its fleet.

May 25, 2026, arrival of a leased ATR 72 at Gwadar International Airport as South Air proving flight from Karachi.
South Air to commence flight operations upon the issuance of Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA).
On May 24, Iraqi Airways resumed flights between Baghdad and Karachi with Boeing 777.
Flights were suspended due to situation in the Middle East.
May 25, 2026 - Arrival of South Air ATR 72 in Sukkur as proving flight from Karachi.
South Air to have a fleet of four aircraft in coming months.
The airline is starting flight operations in June initially with a fleet of two ATR 72 aircraft.

On Wednesday, a Pakistan Air Force FT-7PG aircraft crashed after technical malfunction near Mianwali Airport.
Both pilots successfully ejected using the Martin-Baker PK10LZ Ejection Seat.

On May 20, a two-seat Chengdu FT-7 Fighter Trainer of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) after experiencing technical problem crashed near Mianwali.
Both pilots ejected safely.
The aircraft was on a routine training flight.
Proposed Skardu Airport upgrade project includes expansion of the existing Passenger Terminal Building, construction of a new Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower, Fire Station and Cargo Terminal.
