In our learning about recounts, Year 6 have been dissecting different examples. This time rather than just finding the features, the children cut them out of the texts to help them evaluate @AVPASchool

Year 6 have been diving into their science this term focusing on evolution and inheritance. This time, they investigate fossils to see what animals they might be related to today @AVPASchool

Year 6 revised their adverbial skills this week by looking at adverbials of time. They travelled back into WW2 and put together the pieces of an evacuees journey. @AVPASchool

Hello! We have all had an amazing experience today at the Houses of Parliament and Portrait Gallery. We have just boarded the coach and are on the way back to Abbey View. At the moment our ETA is 6:30pm, I will update further with any updates regarding traffic etc. Miss Leuzinger

Year 6 loved their tour of the Houses of Parliament…from the House of Commons, to the House of Lords and even hearing about the secret toilet in the Kings robing room 👑👨‍⚖️@AVPASchool

The final sports day was a mix of emotions but even with the heat, Year 6 shone as team captains, sportmens and supportive friends @AVPASchool

It was a quick march to John Hampden last week or Year 5 and Year 6; they had to become the detectives to find where Pikachu was taken. The children learnt all about Chemistry,Physics and Biology along the way.@AVPASchool
