Year 1 had a lovely RE lesson with Mrs Coyston learning all about Islamic artefacts. They learnt how to respectfully explore, ask questions and experience religions that may be different to their own @AVPASchool
Year 6 loved their tour of the Houses of Parliament…from the House of Commons, to the House of Lords and even hearing about the secret toilet in the Kings robing room 👑👨⚖️@AVPASchool

We've been learning about the different parts of the body in Science. One of our tasks was to draw and label the human body. Some of us were very ambitious and chose to write the labels ourselves! @AVPASchool 👏
PE Sessions:
We had lots of fun in PE today. The children worked as a team to not falling in the water and make it to the other side. Today's session is themed on balance, along with a lot of giggles and dancing.

Colour Recognition in Maths: The children have been learning all the different names of colours and how to find the odd colour out. We went on colour hunts and then finished our learning off with building towers and houses using colourful bricks.

We have been looking at spirals in art and have been exploring using different tools. We have used a combination of pencils, oil pastels and chalk. Some of us had a great time experimenting with smudging and blending too! @AVPASchool
We had a great time yesterday exploring the art of Molly Haslund. We used chalk at the end of metre ruler sticks to draw circles on the ground. We then explored kolam art and tried to make our own using resources such as string @AVPASchool
Yesterday in Maths, we explored representing numbers in different ways. We focused on numbers to ten and looked at them in numerals, on ten frames and with numicons @AVPASchool 🔢
