At just eight years old, Yalda lost her leg, her mother, and her aunts in a landmine explosion.

For a long time, she believed her future had ended.

Today, with a prosthetic limb & rehabilitation support from @ICRC, Yalda is walking again and every step is an act of courage.

To support healthcare services, @ICRC donated emergency medical kits, including intravenous, dressing, and oral packages to Fatima Bayat 50-Bed Hospital in #Helmand.

We are glad to work hand in hand with @PalestineRCS and inaugurate today the newly rehabilitated emergency department (ED) at Al-Amal Hospital that was damaged during hostilities. It was upgraded, increasing ED capacity by 40% & improving triage during mass casualty incidents

Like many displaced families, Wafaa Khodeir & her children spend sleepless nights in tents that keep out neither the cold nor heavy rains.

The ICRC provides shelter items & supports water & sewage system repair, but long-term solutions are urgently needed.

Last week, with local authorities, our teams held another blood donation drive at the Red Cross Field Hospital in Rafah.

Despite difficult living conditions and daily challenges, the strong turnout showed the community’s continued solidarity and support for lifesaving efforts.

In Gaza, thousands do not know the fate and whereabouts of their loved ones.

Under IHL, the dead must be handled respectfully and their dignity protected.

The ICRC supports forensics and health authorities to manage, document and trace the deceased so families can find closure.

We continue our efforts to support and respond to the considerable needs, yet more must be done to ensure people return to their lives and live in dignity.

We are working with local communities to repair pumps, deploy machinery, and open blocked channels to ease the pressure on communities struggling through the winter.

We have started a multi-phase operation to facilitate the release and transfer of hostages and detainees as part of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
