@matthewflorianz Totally! The IT thing is a good call out too. I hadn't thought about that. Besides, it can't hurt to have your reel in multiple places ๐
@jelfish67 Hi Kat! I am interested in chatting more about open positions! I've written code in Python, as well as some C++; I'm also experienced in sound design. My email is avryluy[at]mailbox[dot]org. Hope to connect with you๐
One feature I miss from PT was slow-playback. I used it a ton to check foley edits & it was helpful for pitch-down previews. So I tried to remake it in Lua! Might need tweaking for FX tails, but its cool you can make like this for a DAW.

If anyone in the #gameaudio#filmsound and #audiopost spaces have spare bsky invites, I would love to migrate with the community! It's getting harder and harder to navigate the current state of this app.
@dWeaverAudio I think woodpeckers in the winter-time and warblers are some of my favorites. Also coniferous/pine forests. Something warbler songs & pine needles brushing together just feels home-y and comforting. But woodpecker pecks have an impressively long decay in winter. It's mesmerizing!
I just started working on backgrounds for an upcoming film. It's always interesting to include some research at the beginning. Knowing indigenous fauna and flora can really add some depth and personality to your winds! #audiopost#filmaudio#postproduction#soundesign
It's #PortfolioDay !

As a day jobber who used to be full time, I'm prone to harboring guilt against myself for "failing."
It's important to remember that no one's path is the same, and putting health and joy first is never a bad call.
Twitter seems to be in another phase of uncertainty and instability. I'd love to keep in touch with as many folks as possible, even though I'm not the best social media user๐Other social media links in the following post!
This sound redesign has been such a blast to work on. I challenged myself to use a lot of my own voice on the creature design, and I think it turned out super creepy! Just a few more squelches/final touches & it'll be horror-ific!

Turns out that it was the headphone threaded adapter all along! At least I learned that my current interface (Steinberg) has soldered TRS input connectors, which will be difficult for me to replace myself if they do ever bite the dust. Troubleshooting wins yet again
Does anyone have advice for how to replace TRS connectors on an audio interface? Today my headphone outs decided to become extremely distorted and I'd rather not replace that whole device if possible #gameaudio#audiopost
Repo link below if youre interested in looking at the code or downloading the plugin to mess around with.
Learning new audio skills is always such a blast. If anyone has tips or suggestions on game audio programming, I would love to chat!

I wanted to share a new tool that I built to further my growth in game audio. Over the last month or so, I developed a low pass filter plugin for Wwise! It's a second order Butterworth low pass with output gain control.

After making a connection with an audio programmer and diving into a C++ skills test about a month ago, I was able to do a bit of audio filtering. I feel good about pushing myself into the unknown a bit. I found something new that I'm enjoying and would like to add to my toolbox!
