Ahmedabad is a hopelessly boring Tier 2 city. Please don’t move here.
Living here is an absolute nightmare:
• Zero Adrenaline: Women are just casually roaming around at 2 AM eating ice cream without fearing for their lives or dodging intense police naka bandis. Where is the survival thrill?
• No Linguistic Pride: If you don't speak Gujarati, nobody even threatens to beat you up or smash your shop's signboards. They just awkwardly reply in broken Hindi. Absolutely no passion!
• No Traffic Trauma: The roads are so wide and well planned that you actually reach your destination in 20 minutes. How am I supposed to finish my audiobooks or rethink my life choices during a 3 hour bumper to bumper commute?
• Missing Action: Someone bumps into your vehicle, and they just say sorry and pay you instead of pulling out a hockey stick. No street fights, no "Tu jaanta nahi mera baap kaun hai." So dull.
• Zero Aesthetic Culture: No underground drug or Udta Punjab vibes. Just boring, safe, sober families existing everywhere.
Honestly, it’s unbearable. Please stay in your happening metro cities, enjoy spending half your life in traffic and keep breathing that sweet AQI 1000 air.

"Four-month boycott of an anganwadi cook in an Odisha village: Every day she cycles to work, waits for kids who never show up — because she is Dalit
For four months now, the Dalit woman and her family have been facing a social boycott, for Sarmista having “dared” apply for the job she did, and then landing it: that of a helper-cum-cook at the local anganwadi centre." https://t.co/G5kwebeDSc
No matter where you go, Bali, Monaco, New Zealand, Switzerland, or even the most luxurious and peaceful places in the world, after 4–5 days, the feeling slowly becomes the same.
Because you are still carrying yourself with you.
Bali can feel spiritual, Monaco can feel elite and luxurious, and New Zealand can feel calm and untouched, but none of them can permanently fix what is unsettled inside you.
If your inner self is not aligned, every place eventually feels familiar.
The excitement fades, the scenery becomes normal, and the same thoughts return, just in a different location.
That’s when you understand a simple truth.
Most escapes are not solutions. They are distractions.
If you don’t work on your inner world, even the most beautiful destination becomes temporary relief.
But when your inner self is stable and clear, even an ordinary place feels peaceful.
You are not traveling away from your problems.
You are traveling with them.
Fix your inner self first.
Everything else follows.
Deeply unsettling. @MMRDAOfficial@mybmc I agree you all have deadlines to finish projects but you just can’t leave such important and critical finishing touches given the whole project is for human consumption.
Didn’t want to say anything about my own experience on X nor write over others problems but I realise problems need to be highlighted. So here goes. Last Sunday after long run as a precursor to TMM, firstly it was like treasure hunt to find Worli metro station after exiting from pup 18 of Worli coastal road promenade because absolute zero signage and too many narrow dingy stairways. Anyway took it as fun adventure despite body being vulnerable & recuperating after long run (won’t be so for tourists or newcomers btw). But on reaching the official entry to metro to the side of that road was further disappointed to see only 1 escalator that too coming up not down. I couldn’t find Elevator nor any signage indicating its presence. Could as well be royally chilling few meters ahead, who knows. So I descend the mighty metro stairs. Last stair, my mistake I fully admit 🙋🏻♂️ for not being careful, I missed. In next instant my right ankle twisted with knuckling sounds. Worries about TMM came flooding. Fortunately in subsequent days only minor pain on pressing next to ankle. Otherwise no issue, I hope, as I could continue practice runs.
Still it’s humble request to authorities with folded hands 🙏, build structures that are inclusive not just namesake ramps here and there. My aged parents especially mom with arthritis surely can’t use any of this new age metro on own without assistance. She had run behind buses and travelled in crush load local trains in her prime. But those days of subsistence levels of infrastructure is behind us. Do better! Please.
Syed Adil Hussain Shah, 28, a Muslim pony ride operator, died a hero in Kashmir. As terrorists opened fire, targeting tourists who were Hindus, Adil shielded a non-Muslim family—rushing a gunman to buy them time. In his final act, he chose humanity over fear. Never forget him either. 🙏
This is India’s new demographic that has taken Hinduism to a new low. Just close your eyes and remember what the day of Ram Navami meant to you. For me, it meant a wonderful festivity and a shining day of yellow — turmeric rice and Narcissus.
These thugs remember Aurangzeb more than Ram.
