3. Kebijakan nikel berubah-ubah mendadak sampai bikin biaya produksi melonjak 200%

4. Birokrasi korup. ada masalah, saluran resmi macet, tapi kalau lewat perantara dan pake pelicin baru masalah bisa beres.

Gimana mau ekonomi tumbuh 8% kalau investor aja merasa dirampok dan ga ada kepastian hukum?. Nasib jutaan pekerja sekarang di ujung tanduk karena ketidakmampuan pemerintah menjaga iklim usaha yang bersih. We have removed Kled from the Nigerian app store and IP banned the entire region.

The first thing I would like to say is I have nothing against Nigeria. I have a ton of friends from this region and these were some of our earliest app adopters. Genuinely, thank you all for the support.

Kled has been up and running and out of beta for 4 months now. We have paid out hundreds of thousands of people for their data, and our users have uploaded over 1 billion assets onto our platform.

After several months of uploads we found that Nigeria had a ≈95% fraud rate. Instead of real, usable data, users were uploading pictures of black screens, duplicate photos, internet generated images, AI generated images, etc. at an unimaginable scale.

In comparison, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines have a less than 10% fraud rate across 10x the userbase size.

Our fraud system is fast to catch these issues but the level of complexity of these schemes is getting out of hand.

This weekend we were flooded with thousands of fake Japanese passports and identity cards with Nigerians photoshopped onto them in our KYC system. That was the final straw.

As a startup we can't afford to eat the costs of that data overhead, so we temporarily removed the app from the region while we improved our fraud detection and banning system to quickly filter out bad actors when the time is right.

On top of all of this, every time we make a post there is someone asking us to bring the region back within seconds. We hear you, but it's gotten out of hand.

We've made this decision with great care. We love everyone who has genuinely supported Kled from Nigeria, and we hope to return when the time is right.

YouTube dashed his dreams with one wrong message. It was exceeding cruel.

David Perez worked 3 tough years to get his YouTube channel, MovieTalkNOW to where it was.

Just this week, YouTube's AI decided to demonetize him for "inauthentic content."

He never had a single infraction, a single flag on his videos. All his content was original, hard, back-breaking work. Nothing "inauthentic." Now it was all up in smoke.

You get one appeal so he took it. His fans rallied and then...YouTube sent him a message, HE WAS BACK! Monetization restored!

Only that turned to tragedy moments later when YouTube sent another message, telling him that message was a mistake, that he was still demonetized.

No sorry, no apology. In fact, they doubled down and blamed him again, telling him to enroll in a 90 day remedial class and then he could re-apply and maybe get his channel monetization back.

This is cruel @YouTube and wrong. You've been on a string of automated demonetizations that are destroying hundreds of real creators. And you haven't done nearly enough to fix it.

Now, my politics are about as 180 as you can get from David. I don't like or agree with his videos.

But I will defend his right to a fair REAL review by a human against YouTube's insane AI rampage right now.

AI is absolutely everywhere, both generative and LLM.

Anti-AI people are hypocrites for being outraged by image generation while they go and research and write their college homework with ChatGPT.

Notice they are mostly artists, and are never angry at AI use in code, which is a much bigger threat to human replacement, and equally as mined from sources on the net.

If you reject AI, you must reject it fully and give it up yourself (in those other aspects of your life they don't seem to be nearly as troubled about). Something people are increasingly unwilling to do.

Again, I wish AI wasn't a thing. I'm not fond of the image of AI moving forwards into space without humanity. I don't like the disruption and and pain it will cause, and is causing, short term.

But now that we are here, I believe we must push as hard as possible for the ideal outcome. Preservation of humanity, enhancement, maybe even symbiosis, expansion of leisure and family time, enabling of creativity for all, post scarcity abundance, space travel enablement, and more.

You know what won't work? Trying to put the genie back into the bottle and lashing out at every game studio that uses AI (psst, its all of them, even the ones saying they don't use it...it's in all their tools now whether they like it or not).

The interview and article fail to report what 2 seconds of fact checking would have revealed.

She was not sorry, even after the being fired.

Everyone who celebrated the vile assassination and then doubles and triples down on it afterwards deserves to be removed by companies that abhor such political violence.

Murdering your political opponents is not the answer, and shame on Kotaku and the interview for failing to fact-check and to try to justify her horrible actions by omitting key facts.

This is why no-one trusts game journalism anymore.
