Had a great weekend in Plano! Bats were hot, but it had to come to an end early due to weather. I went 4 for 7 at the plate, with a homerun! I'm getting ready for Kerrville next weekend! #co2027#uncommitted@BombersKTX@softballhype#domore@bombers_fp
βSoftball is not my ride or die. I work hard for it but my job here is to spread my faith to as many people as I can and right now I use softball to do that.β
Texas Techβs NiJaree Canady spoke on her faith and how she has used softball as the platform to share that.
Softball is a game of failure. Youβre going to strike out, make an error, give up a homerun. Just like in life, we are going to sin. Itβs unavoidable.
On the field, failure humbles you. At the cross, sin humbles you. But hereβs the difference:
In softball, you still have to live with your stats. In Christ, your sin was fully paid for.
Jesus took every failure, every sin, every moment we fell short, and carried it to the cross. He did what we never could- lived perfectly.
The enemy wants athletes to believe: βYou messed up, so youβre worthless.β
Jesus says: βYou messed up, and I still chose you.β
Softball gives you another at-bat after failure. The Gospel gives you another chance after sin. Not because you earned it. Because grace is bigger than your worst inning.
Great way to end the season undefeated! Had so much fun this season with my teammates and coaches!
