Rethinking network access: every open port for Remote Desktop, a database or a file server is a door someone is already knocking on. Awacino connects your device straight into your server, company network or cloud instead β no open ports, end-to-end encrypted. Less to expose, less risk.

Install Awacino on any two devices in two different networks - 5G or another Wi-Fi - and beam from one into the other. Then use it: terminal and remote desktop, at the usual address.
Tell us honestly how it went. Useful feedback earns you one extra device slot.
@RalphAichinger@justme6696@home_assistant Years without trouble is a good sign, though scanners find an open Home Assistant fast, do you at least have 2FA and an IP ban for failed logins switched on?
@justme6696@home_assistant Years of it working says a lot, a reverse proxy on 443 is a solid setup, do you keep it behind fail2ban or a client certificate, since that port is open to everyone?
Those 2.1M are simply servers with a TCP port open to the whole internet, the patch closes this bug but not that exposure, SSH and admin panels reachable only from the private network or an outbound-only tunnel never show up in such a scan, how many of your servers really need a public port?
@bendiken Good that you were ahead of it, and yes the DoS needs any listening TCP port, so did you also have to restrict which services are reachable from outside in the meantime?

@agchiisa Exactly, an exposed RDP port gets hammered by brute-force bots within hours, did you ever check your logs to see how many attempts a day hit yours?

@GergelyOrosz An in-house tool only wins on attack surface while it stays in-house, a vibe-coded internal app with no public URL is a tiny target, the risk starts the day staff need it from home and it ends up on a forwarded port, how do your teams reach internal tools from outside?
@KevinTrann86 Yes, a cloud server works like any other device, you install Awacino on it and connect from your own device with no inbound ports, which cloud setup do you run?
@OpenWebUI Giving the model a real desktop raises the stakes on where Open WebUI listens, an instance that opens apps and pushes to Git shouldn't sit on a forwarded port with only its login in front, how do most of you reach yours from outside?
