The game isn't to look where the market is and predict the next move.
The game is to understand what the effect of an area holding or breaking and then that informs your next sequence of trading decisions.

On a trend day, your stop is based on a smaller time frame pattern intraday, while your targets are based on a larger time frame pattern.
That is how you develop asymetrical reward to risk.

So many traders suffer needless losses during a trend day because they get stuck in the mindset of the prior regime and don't adjust their tactics to the new intraday narrative of a trending move.
They then keep trying to fade a trending move as it feels more comfortable and they rack up the losses.

When trading during a trend day, you want to trade in direction of the trend, as there is where the big money is going to be. It will not be trying to trade bounces along the way.
You want to take a good enough entry and get on board.

Become at ease with the state of "not knowing." This takes you beyond mind because the mind is always trying to conclude and interpret. It is afraid of not knowing. So, when you can be at ease with not knowing, you have already gone beyond the mind.

@TommyBahamut Buying Tail refers to a Gap that resulted in a more significant change in market structure, like a Balance Break-out.
Buying Tails can act as S/R
Having that awareness, that your trades are in alignment with the larger time frame idea, will allow you to execute properly.
Without that, it will be just a reaction to what the market is doing, without any anticipation of the market context & probabilities.
That can lead to invalid trades and losses.

The best trades I have are from good trade location, they tend to work quickly, the scale gets hit easily and they are easier to hold onto.
They don't require a ton of patience and the market doesn't hang around the entry price.
It is helpful to know the characteristics of your best trades.

It is important to not judge your trades with the full benefit of hindsight.
That is a recipe for driving yourself NUTS
As long as you are following your process you are fine.

If you missed the 1st entry in the dominant direction on the day, be patient and look to see if there is another opportunity that fits within the methodology.

What was with the long side
- Time frame Alignment on INT and BP
- potential LTF pattern in alignment with bias
- NQ > then its MW range
- both markets launch from HVN area
What do you do when one side is in control - lean into it.
One thing I pay attention to is what the market is doing and how effective it is.
