Our project in Ghana is supporting farmers to adopt good agricultural practices, including composting to improve soil fertility for increased crop yields. Organic manure production also helps the farmers to reduce the need of expensive chemical fertilizers. #ghana#fmnr@sssaaka

Anti-Bushfire awareness campaign & training for fire fighters, last week in the Upper East Region of Ghana. ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐พโโ๏ธ Bushfires are a threat for regreening efforts and must be therefore prevented through community collaboration. #fmnr#busfires#ghana@sssaaka@fonar4NR
The world has lost an irreplaceable hero in the restoration movement, but his indelible legacy remains in our hearts and minds. Rest well - "The Man Who Stopped the Desert". @FMNRHub@rinaudo_tony@awakentrees@SilviaHolten@fonar4NR
Great work @awakentrees ๐ #FMNR is helping communities take #Climate adaptation and mitigation action at a fraction of the cost of tree planting and with a ๐ฏ success rate. #NYClimateWeek#SDA2023#UNGA LET'S SCALE IT!!
Farmers in Ghana are implementing FMNR to restore degraded land and promote sustainable tree management, thereby achieving higher crop yields and safeguarding their land from adverse weather conditions. We are providing them with regular technical support. #ghana#fmnr ๐ฟ๐พ
FMNR helps families to access new sources of income and to achieve better harvests by improving soil quality and enhancing resilience to droughts and other environmental impacts. #fmnr#agroforestry ๐ณ
@fonar4NR thanks @awakentrees for the partnership to implement the life changing FMNR for Women's Empowerment and Livelihoods Project (FMNR4WELIP) in Northern Ghana! @FMNRHub @LizRinaudo1 @SilviaHolten
๐ฑ FMNR emerges as a holistic approach - reviving entire ecosystems through nature's own regenerative power. Its sustainable impact resonates far beyond, nurturing landscapes and communities for a greener tomorrow. ๐ณ๐ฟ #FMNR#resilience
A big benefit of #FMNR is that it is low-cost and can be applied by everyone with access to land that bears the potential for regeneration. That's why we focus on knowledge-sharing to reach as many people as possible in drought affected regions in Senegal, Ghana and Tanzania.
Farmers in Senegal support each other, share experiences and work together to use knowledge and resources for sustainable farming practices. With the support of Awaken Trees, a group of volunteers meets regularly to monitor the development of FMNR in the Kaffrine Region. #fmnr
The immediate benefit women get through #FMNR is firewood. The also get wild fruits to feed their families and sell for income.
The @fonar4NR and @awakentrees#FMNR for Women Empowerment and Livelihoods Project in #Ghana is supporting these women to lead #regreening efforts
In Ghana, farmers are actively collaborating to regenerate natural resources, sharing their knowledge and working hand in hand. Their collective efforts inspire hope as they revive the land and cultivate a legacy of environmental stewardship for a better future. #fmnr ๐ณ๐
Children of our school programs in Ghana have started to raise awareness in their communities: They express themselves in paintings and poems to point out environmental problems, like deforestation and land burning. And they are presenting simple solutions like #FMNR.
