Any decent Tigrayan media outlet would report these drone attacks as they should be reported: factually and clearly.
Meanwhile, some “Tigrayan” media are hiding behind passive language to “report” the attacks while conveniently avoiding naming the perpetrators.
Update: #Tigray Education Chief sheds more light on destruction of a primary school in latest #drone strike
Tigray’s education chief Kiros Guesh (PhD) has provided further details on the reported drone strike that destroyed Abraha Weatsbaha Primary School in Kilte-Awlaelo district in the night hours of Thursday.
Kiros said the overnight strike targeted the school, describing it as “yet another attack on educational infrastructure.”
The drone strike marks the latest in a series of attacks reportedly carried out by the federal government against sites across Tigray Regional State. However, the federal government has not publicly commented on any of the reported attacks.
In a post published on his Facebook page late Thursday, Kiros said the facility had recently been expanded with new classrooms built by Plan International Ethiopia for early childhood care and development, with support from the European Union.
The education chief also highlighted the school’s significance to the local community, pointing to a joint delegation visit on 5 March 2025 led by EU Ambassador Sofie From-Emmesberger and involving senior representatives of UNICEF, Plan International, Save the Children and the World Food Program.
Photographs shared by Kiros show the school’s blue-and-white classroom blocks and the delegation visiting the facility.
The images include EU and humanitarian officials, as well as local representatives, gathered at the school during the 2025 visit.
Neither Ethiopia’s federal government nor the federal Ministry of Education had commented on the reported strike as of publication.
While it’s good that @WegahtaFacts is reporting the continued drone attacks by the #Ethiopian regime, they also need to explain why they consistently fail to name the perpetrator — or even the “alleged” perpetrator.
Details matter.
Abiy’s war on Tigray has nothing to do with a political movement or the corrupt leaders in Mekelle. In fact, he loves them and wants them to stay in power.
His war is against the people, against the future of Tigray.
Ethiopia Conducts Third Straight Day of Airstrikes on Tigray
BREAKING: A drone strike hit Gijet in Southeastern #Tigray around 10:00 PM local time, targeting a high school and nearby homes. Residents and eyewitnesses say no military units were present in the area at the time.
While the EU countries and international community look the other way, the genocidal #Ethiopia|n regime continues to target civilian lives and infrastructures as part of its Scorched Earth policy on #Tigray, including today by bombing a public school.

Today, legendary American boxer Terence Crawford is in Ukraine. He has supported our country and our people since the first days of the war. We deeply value having people like him stand with Ukrainians.
As a gesture of solidarity, Terence gifted me an American Pit Bull Terrier puppy – a female named Freyja. Her grandfather Athos survived the Russian occupation of Bucha, and now Freyja bears the name of our future FREYJA air defense system – as a symbol of our protection.
Thank you for the meeting and for this very warm and special gift. Thank you for your support and for your respect for our people.
Ethiopia: It's reported that this man was detained in Addis Ababa after peacefully staging a solo protest calling for PM Abiy to step down and be held accountable, during a period when demonstrations were banned by the regime
Ethiopia is bombing civilians in Tigray.
On Aug 20, a drone strike on Mekelle sent 13 wounded, women & children among them, to a hospital that has been debilitated by war and a siege & that struggles to provide the needed care.
