Researchers at Duke used the OQ LabScope, a Lumedica OCT research system, to investigate the efficiency of lasers used to remove kidney stones. With the OCT system they measured 4 critical data points and created a complete 3D reconstruction of their sample.

Just heard of the sudden passing of Prof. Gabriel Popescu, a giant of optical microscopy, a very kind and witty colleague and friend. We had lunch less than a month ago during his sabbatical in Paris😢My thoughts are with his family, colleagues, students and friends. RIP Gabi.
