Part time crewman on a shark/tuna fishing boat. Wonky vegetable grower. Former member of the front row union π. Father to 3 humanoids and 3 Dachshunds.
Great time last night at Penallta Rugby Club for a reunion of some of the boys in this old Lewis Boys School rugby photo, and a wider selection of schoolmates. Haven't seen most of these lads for over 45 years, so there was a lot of catching up done.
Any of my former colleagues used any dark brown/chocolate paviours or setts on a project recently? If so, what brand/manufacturer. Need some for a DIY job but it appears all the merchants only stock reds and greys these days.
Tuna fishing. It's brutal. That's my arm hanging on to the angler to ensure he doesn't get pulled over the side.
And I've got a safety strap on me to ensure I don't go over the side ππ
Crewman today aboard White Water II, on the CHART Cymru Bluefin Tuna research project. One BFT tagged and released, 25 miles off Pembrokeshire.
Big fish, 91 inches, approx 500lb.
Spent a very interesting day at @SwanseaUni yesterday, training to act as crew on boats participating in this programme. Can't wait to get out there and catch, tag & release these giants for research.
The Welsh Government and Swansea University are excited to announce the opening of applications for the CHART Cymru scientific Welsh bluefin tuna tagging programme. The application process is now live until 19th August via: https://t.co/1gWWZ9gQVJ #tuna
Nice few days at Stratford upon Avon racecourse. Very pleasant walk along the river into town which is lovely. Home for the weekend now. Don't like the crowds.
I wonder what former colleagues think of news from Westminster that Housing Association tenants will be allowed to buy the homes they rent?
Why would any business be happy to dispose of the assets that provide their cashflow, particularly ones they built with their own funding?
