Incredible news from the #DjaFaunalReserve in Cameroon! Recently, our team, in collaboration with the reserve’s conservation service, rescued a female pangolin from poachers. Just three days after her rescue, she miraculously gave birth to a male tricuspid-scaled pangolin!

Pangolins, classified as endangered by the @IUCN , are among the most trafficked mammals globally. Their protection is vital—not only for their survival but also for maintaining ecosystem balance, as they help control termite and ant populations.

By safeguarding these gentle creatures, we are also ensuring the health of our forests!

Bear Diary: A day in the life of radiant Roshan!

Roshan, a rescued sloth bear, has been putting smiles on his caregivers’ faces for years with his playful antics and zest for life. Now in his 22nd year, this charming bear continues to find joy in the various enrichments in his enclosure.

During a rescue operation conducted in 2008 by Wildlife SOS and the West Bengal Forest Department, 30 sloth bears were saved from the ‘dancing’ bear practice – one of whom was a six-year-old bear named Roshan.

On Wednesday the Turkish parliament will vote on amendments to the existing animal protection bill The government wants to legalize killing stray animals, ban people from feeding/taking care of stray animals and allowing stray animals to be used as medical test subjects.
