@Michael49126975 @RyanShead @bennyjohnson Literally half of soldiers retired (medical or time out) have a different retirement rank, either lowered because they didn't complete schooling or raised because they met all promotion requirements upon retiring.

@Michael49126975 @RyanShead @bennyjohnson Okay so you know at least 1 MSG or 1SG that was promoted to CSM. Walz was already planning on retiring when that promotion happened so he chose to retire at MSG instead of going to CSM school. I'm not sure why this is hard?
