Last year in Paris, our hotel receptionist was speaking fluent French to a customer we met there. Of course, that’s what we expected, we’re in France 😂
When it was our turn, this man looked at us and said in fluent Yoruba:
“Mr and Mrs Olaoye, bawo ni trip yin? Ṣé dáadáa lẹ dé?”
I thought I was dreaming 😂
We had the best stay there because of him. I don’t remember his name, but if this tweet somehow reaches him, God bless you bro. We’ll be back again soon 😊
Nigeria has passed 50,000 cholera cases this year. 338 people have died. This year alone
Emeka, Nkechi, do this one today. Not when somebody is sick. Today.
Buy ORS sachets. Put them in your first aid box, or wherever it is you keep your medicines
Cholera can kill in hours. imagine it at two in the morning, the person is already weak, every shop is locked, and you are the one flying up and down looking for who is open. For wetin?
When the watery stool starts, you mix one sachet in one litre of clean water and you start drinking on THE WAY TO THE CLINIC, not when you reach there.
And let me add this one, because people don't know: it is not cholera alone. Any serious running stomach, same sachet. Plain water will not be enough.
You need boredom. A lot of it. Start by going on walks without music. No stimulation. No distractions of any kind. If you learn to sit with your own thoughts, for long enough, in time they will start serving you. You'll start having ideas once again. You'll start developing an extreme sense of clarity that will shift you into the next stage of your life. All by being bored, which is pretty insane.
Funny enough, I never planned to build this SaaS.
My sister started a clinic and wanted a simple way to monitor when her staff clocked in and out.
She asked if I could build something.
I said, “Sure.”
So I built a very basic version just for her.
She used it every day for a couple of months. Whenever she’d say, “I wish it could do this…”, I’d add the feature.
Then another feature.
Then another.
Eventually I looked at it and thought…
“Maybe other businesses need this too.”
So I redesigned everything, built a proper website, and launched ClockOut.
For the first two months…
Nothing.
Almost no visitors.
So I went all in on SEO.
I spent weeks learning everything I could about SEO, GEO (AI search optimization), and improving the site.
Eventually the traffic came…
…but almost all of it was to my blog. 😅
People were reading articles, not signing up.
So I shifted my SEO strategy from informational keywords to commercial ones, content that people search when they’re actually looking for a time tracking solution.
That finally started working.
My first paying customer came from Google.
My second paying customer came from ChatGPT.
Never thought I’d be thanking AI for sending me customers 😂
Another fun fact:
The entire platform is incredibly inexpensive to run.
Vercel for hosting.
Convex for the database.
It’s amazing what you can build today with modern tools.
I’m still learning every day.
If you’re building a SaaS, working on SEO, trying to get traffic, or just have questions, feel free to send me a message.
I’m happy to help if I can. 🙂
@Spencerfoundra thank you 🙌🏾
please let me know if there’s a project i can help you with at this time. i’d really like the opportunity to work with you.
for the test, i replaced @SunKingGlobal's static "request a quote" form with an AI advisor that actually reasons about your power needs and recommends the right solar setup—HomePlus to PowerHub—then gets you to a callback or EasyBuy plan.
built in a day on @Agentplace_io 🌞

UPDATE: If you thought she actually got away with our ₦2.8 million to live her best life in Canada, you don't know how ruthless corporate lawyers can be.
She made one critical mistake in her arrogant triumph: she told us exactly where she was.
Our Legal Director didn't waste a second. He immediately contacted the EFCC and the Nigerian Immigration Service. Because the stolen amount was substantial and easily verified through internal banking logs, our lawyers were able to secure an expedited warrant for corporate fraud and theft.
We didn't stop there. Through rapid coordination, the authorities notified the airline and the Canadian embassy that a suspect fleeing active financial charges was currently in transit.
Here is exactly how her severance package from God played out:
She enjoyed her long-haul flight, probably sipping complimentary wine and dreaming of her fresh start in Toronto.
But the moment she stepped off the plane and handed her passport to the Canadian Border Services Agency, the system flashed red.
She never even made it past baggage claim.
Canadian immigration detained her on the spot. Because her proof of funds was legally tied to an active criminal investigation back home, her entry was denied, and her freshly minted visa was instantly revoked.
After spending 48 humiliating hours in an immigration detention room, she was escorted onto a plane under guard and deported straight back to Nigeria.
She landed in Lagos yesterday morning, but this time, the EFCC was waiting to welcome her right at the arrival gate.
She was handcuffed in front of hundreds of passengers, crying, hyperventilating, and begging the officers to let her call our HR manager to work out a payment plan.
Yes, the exact same HR manager she had laughed at and dismissed just days prior.
Now, she has no job, a revoked Canadian visa that permanently blacklists her from re-applying, a looming criminal trial, and the EFCC breathing down her neck to recover the ₦2.8 million.
As for our finance team? The people responsible for the glitch were heavily sanctioned, and our payroll system is undergoing a massive overhaul.
It’s funny how quickly arrogance fades. Greed will convince you that you are outsmarting the system, but a poor mindset will always be your ultimate downfall.
When you operate with zero integrity, reality always catches up and collects with interest.
Raise your behavioral standards. Integrity is everything, and there is absolutely room for no bare minimums when it comes to character.
