@capybaroness I’m not sure if it was always the plan from chapter 1 but at this point it’s pretty clear that the story is intentionally ‘episodic’ and playing it as it comes out is the ‘intended’ experience, like watching a show releasing week to week.
@Ronlake42069@sagathena If you only play dnd for the combat and don’t like the storytelling/to at all, there’s like a million board games or video games you’d probably enjoy more
@jg_gmu@ryancbriggs We’ve had calculators for decades but we still teach everyone how to add and multiply. Why? Because to do the math that calculators can’t do for you you still need to understand the basics extremely well. AI is not fundamentally different
@emnode@NathanJRobinson@DumpTrump_45 I mean, the primary had essentially been over since Janet Mills suspended her campaign, this is clearly about the general. Mills is vaguely saying she’s still on the ballot but doesn’t actually seem interested in running at this point
@Alkalimeter@redtachyon@IsaacKing314 Yes ofc the point is just to give some intuition for why swimming in a higher viscosity liquid isn’t obviously slower
@toronai22@luxeprogressive Maybe I'm misunderstanding but it seems like there are two resolutions both brought by Tlaib, and they are saying they think one is the better legislative option so they are pushing for that and voting no on the other.
@redtachyon@IsaacKing314 That's the point, it feels surprising that you don't swim slower in higher viscosity, but it's less surprising when you think about how obviously swimming in air (very low viscosity) is very hard, so clearly viscosity isn't always detrimental
@LazyNick5 I think Jacob Geller captures this idea really well in this video, he doesn’t talk about the backrooms but some other media with very similar ideas https://t.co/Z5OJmRNGJv
@stqnfield@ellonico I mean he basically straight up says he’s killing the actor bc he didn’t like one movie. To me the joke here was always that his ideology is so shallow that he’ll use pretty much anything to justify killing people when he really just feels like it/its convenient
@jakeformayor To me the strange part is just that it feels like the replacement clause is written out of order. Why can’t it say ‘if damage would be done, first heal then do the damage’?
@Bill_Abely@JuMofool@Rover1825@EsotericCD Jon Ossof has openly criticized Israel and voted against aid, which is in line with what the democratic party supports. Do you think Jon Ossof is antisemitic?
@atrupar I mean, if we taxed him an extra 100 billion which he would barely notice, we could give all of the 2 million residents of queens $50,000, I actually do think that would make a big difference
@krollshowhater@wewwers@daveweigel Still possible they remembered to change the number of terms but not the office but also… yeah might just be an unrelated mistake
