@TTCnotices Another fentanyl zombie ruining the city for productive citizens! Politicians on notice: we will vote accordingly. Institutionalization for those who refuse to help themselves. Re-open 999 Queen in Toronto! Time to take our city and our infrastructure back from chaos!

@TTCnotices Another fentanyl zombie ruining the city for the rest of us! Voters are tired of this shit and will vote accordingly. Re-open 999 Queen: involuntary incarceration now!!!
@mlev@MikePMoffatt Either you’re trying to be funny or you’re being idiotic? Reliable, practical birth control decoupled sex from pregnancy 70 years ago?

@dctcomedy@TTCnotices Believe it or not, we agree. And the way to help them is through involuntary institutionalization. Jordan Neely and a thousand others would still be alive today if they were in a locked institution. Re-open 999 Queen!
@MmBsn@TTCnotices Of course not. But by the time they’re screaming at women on the subway and then overdosing in front of children we’ve already failed as a city and a province. They should be involuntarily institutionalized long before it gets to that point. Re-open 999 Queen!
@MacnuttJane@mattgurney So did the NDP and centre-left parties all over the world. The Social Justice turn from 2013-2022 made all of them unrecognizable. I just want the Liberals of the early 2000s back!
@Noahpinion Yglesias just wrote an article saying private interior courtyards are the only way Americans will accept shared-wall housing. Probably true *if* public order is as bad as it is in American cities right now (so maybe you guys don’t disagree as much as it seems on the face of it).
@faithfulpolaris@SteveSaretsky What are you even talking about; people raise children in homes with shared walls all over the world, and they mostly turn out more well adjusted than North American kids
@boygrrI Shows how much more toxic being extremely online is for just average people than even the most stereotypically toxic real-world workplaces and communities
@baller_g22@TTChelps@paulfoots Sometimes I wish we had the news standards of 100 years ago where EVERYTHING was in the paper — full names and addresses of suspects or victims, gory details etc. Today’s respect for privacy for criminals means we never know what screwed up 100,000 people’s day
@TTChelps@paulfoots How long can it take to manhandle someone off the tracks? Taser them if they don’t move. Then care for them once the transit system is flowing again. 50,000 people stranded here because of someone having a crisis
@Tablesalt13 8.5x lower, not 10x lower, and quickly approaching 8x lower. (I know, it doesn’t change your point — but because of this immigration rate, the old intuition about us being 1/10 the size of the US isn't true anymore. It is for GDP though!)
@LugerLifter @Hynek_Maneuver @Morbidful It was her husband recording. Witnesses reported he slumped over in grief just as she hit the ground. That’s why the camera stops looking at the impact.
