Photographer here, I understand what happened. It really is bad lighting and exposure issues that caused your brain to see white and gold. I remember seeing this photo and at times I would see white and gold and others blue and black. The dress itself was always blue and black

The PHOTOGRAPH is white and gold. “Well when we get into exposure” I’m not a photographer nor is that the point. The photo that went around depicted it as white and gold whether it was due to exposure or not. The color of the dress itself may be blue and black but if you can sincerely tell me that looking at these two next to one another you cannot grasp how people see two different color dresses I genuinely think you’re just lying for the sake of lying
