The aim of World Environment Day 2024 is to highlight the urgent need to combat desertification and drought, and to rehabilitate agricultural lands.
Under the "Green Pakistan Initiative Program," Government of Pakistan is restoring millions of acres of barren land. This will convert barren land into arable land and have long-term environmental benefits.
Restoring barren lands and addressing drought will protect the ecosystem, and it is our fundamental responsibility to ensure a clean environment for future generations.
