「（旧）文通費はなくさないでよ。あれなくされると困るから。」

ある会合で、旧知の某自民党若手衆議院議員から軽口の一言。
この軽さも含め、すごく違和感を感じました。

月100万円国から国会議員に支給される旧文通費は、議員にとっては大変使い勝手の良いお金。
議員にとって何に使おうが自由で、公開する必要もない。

しかし、旧文通費の原資は税金であり、歳費（給与）ではないのですから、領収書を伴って公開することを前提に、国民の利益のために政治活動費に充てることは当然です。

政治にはお金がかかる。
それは企業活動も同じで、だからこそ経費精算をして税務申告をす��。

旧文通費は公益活動として税控除されており、課税対象ではありません。
本来、公益のチェックは受けるべきものです。
