@WCPSSTeam@jmegsonee@nckhui@WCPSS With all due respect, Superintendent Moore didn’t really answer all my questions. I hear her saying that we could combine students and work with teammates. How will we be able to provide social distancing when there are potentially 20 children in a room at that point?
@nckhui@WCPSS And if I’m going to be expected to do both, am I going to be given extra planning time? Or will I have to plan while I eat in my classroom with my students. I think we need some guidelines...sooner rather than later.
Suddenly the mental well-being of students is important enough to reopen schools, but a year ago wasn’t important enough to fund nurses, psychologists, & counselors at even a reasonable fraction of recommended rates? Commit to funding or don’t use mental well-being as a rationale
School districts, for the most part, let’s remember that this isn’t homeschooling, or online school, this is making the best of a bad situation in the middle of a crisis. That should be what drives decisions.
