@emm0sh@obser_vic@Cbat_05 That's fair, I just can't do everything I want with it but that's me. I do IT work and games, so Linux runs everything I need, Mac os doesn't.
If I was a video editor idk.......
@digital_firefly@MizoChris That's where you're wrong, Apple's entire lineup is ARM now, and people love them. And now that they've gotten them cheap enough to release $600 laptops with all day battery, they're starting to take more market share. ARM isn't big on PC cuz windows on ARM sucks ass
@ComicoBarrilete@dangitman50@MizoChris If it took as much work as those chips, it would be impossible to keep up. We're up to M5 now and there's no shot you get Linux running on one of those.
I doubt it will be that bad tho. Nvidia makes ARM server chips, so it's not like there's not already a basis for it.
@Bob328087374292@silv_ex I've done this but its usually more of a pain than its worth. Not always gonna reboot just to use a browser or something like that, so eventually one stays booted a lot longer than the other and whichever one doesnt get booted ends up way behind on updates and something breaks
@silv_ex Luckily I never got into them, the only competitive games I really play are Valve games (CS2, Deadlock, used to play a little DOTA 2) so they all just work
