there should be a law requiring companies to give a summary of terms which the consumer should really look at before agreeing. This is one of those terms people, especially artists should get a heads up about before agreeing!
We appreciate @TheJusticeDept trying to act. But Google Chrome is open enough and has many good competitors with millions of users.
These Google services need attention as these don't even have alternatives for some-
1. Android
2. YouTube
3. Google Maps

@startpage The convenience of logging in to random sites with one tap is unparalleled. It is also a bit privacy friendly as you avoid giving phone nos.
And whenever you are done, you simply remove that login from your account.
Since you have StartMail, why can't you provide this?
@brave anytime you are introducing workspaces that sync across devices is when power users will be able to use the browser.
Blocking and privacy is great. But it is not enough.
@TutaPrivacy I'd love to ditch Google but the point is, we need a real competitor to Google which tries to match the quality of Google services and tries to do a whole suite of apps with the same level of integration, accessibility and support.
@TutaPrivacy Google alternatives suffer from not having the integration with data and devices while also missing a lot of the features and being less intuitive. /1
@TutaPrivacy -> Alts to Maps, YT don't have enough contributors and can be frustrating to use
-> Workspace alts like Gmail don't have the data integration and support
-> Mobile based apps just feel inferior. Google Translate, Play Store are woven into android and difficult to replace /2
@WindowsCentral Considering the billions of users of Chrome, that's still less than 1% of users affected. Can't expect it to be perfect right?
And apart from the inconvenience of resetting passwords, majority of users won't be facing much problem right? Maybe those who need to login urgently.
@akidearest Twitter is filled with bots. People have moved on to better platforms like Mastodon and BlueSky.
None of the new features introduced in Twitter made the actual Twitter experience better. So there ya go.
Unexpected twist, a real picture wins an AI Photography Contest, only to get disqualified later.
Events like these prove human creativity still surpasses AI "creativity" and is a humble reminder that AI may just be a fad as there is a chance it never does

@jonotan86 Watch customisation videos on the internet. YouTube and Reddit. People spent hours customising their phones since 2012 or something and the videos they made crossed millions of views.
Apple just made some influencers care about it. Nothing else.
@WindowsCentral The problem with Windows Phone, just like other tried products by Microsoft, is that, they give up too fast. Not unlike Google.
Mixer, Windows Phone, Zune, etc. are all attempts by Microsoft to beat a competitor but not trying enough to actually be useful for users.
@Humane@rabbit_hmi This is for the simple reason that voice based input system is not suitable everywhere and a visual input system will just make everyone compare it to the smartphone
Based on the reviews of @Humane pin @rabbit_hmi R1, and how far telekenetic input is, it is likely future products will try for a gesture based input system in and around our palms.
