I didn’t become Prime Minister to just make a few tweaks around the edges. I want to change the way this country works.

For too long, politics became comfortable with the idea that some things just can't be fixed. People sleeping on our streets. Huge inequalities between different parts of the country. Young people unable to afford a home. Communities watching decisions about their future being taken somewhere else, by someone else.

Governments have talked about those things. They've even promised to fix them. But too often, they've reached the same conclusion: it just can't be done.

I don't accept that, and I never have.

That’s why we’ve invested to offer everyone who needs it a route off the streets by Christmas.

It's why we've announced the biggest council housebuilding programme since the Second World War.

It's why we're opening 159 new mental health centres.

It's why we've finally put technical education on par with the academic route.

It's why we're delivering the biggest transfer of power out of Westminster and into local communities in a generation.

And it's why we opened No10 North too.

Not as another government office. But because I believe one thing very strongly: Britain won't be rebuilt from the top down.

You have to put power back in the hands of the people and places that know their communities best - and then put the full weight of government behind them.

I also want to give people a bit of breathing space too.

That's why we've cut tax on electricity bills, capped bus fares at £2, and made subscriptions easier to cancel.

It’s why we've cracked down on fake discounts and cut business rates for pubs, social clubs and music venues.

And it's why we've extended the 16-17 Saver Railcard and introduced free 24/7 bus travel for disabled people.

That is the change we have started. More power for our communities, more support on the cost of living and a long-term plan to rebuild the country.

Each one of those changes is part of the same thing.

Good growth in every postcode.

Reindustrialising Britain.

And making sure wherever you live - and whatever your background - you feel this country has a future for you.

Because, in the end, that's what this is about: bringing back hope.

日本の国民感情に関わる���題であり、政府として、ロシア側に対し、設置の中止及び撤去を強く要請しました。

継続して、その撤去を強く働きかけていきます。

4 сентября в городе Хабаровске состоялось открытие бронзового памятника на тему «победы над Японией», на котором, советский солдат разбивает каменный столб с отпечатком эмблемы с хризантемой. Эмблема с хризантемой широко признана в качестве символа Японии, и установка памятника, изображающего ее разрушение, абсолютно неприемлема. Это затрагивает чувства японского народа, и правительство Японии обращалось к российской стороне с решительным требованием приостановить установку памятника и демонтировать его. Мы и дальше намерены настоятельно призывать российскую сторону демонтировать пограничный столб.

🇪🇺🇬🇱 The EU is locking arms with Greenland, turning the frost on Trump… 🥶

Ursula von der Leyen will land in Nuuk on Sunday, meeting with Denmark’s PM Frederiksen and Greenlandic PM Nielsen to strengthen the Union’s ties with Greenland.

The EU commision has proposed to more than DOUBLE Greenland funding (€530 million) from 2028 and teased an investment package to Nuuk worth more than €150 million.

Trump’s name has been left out, but its hard to escape the obvious; the EU knows it can’t afford to leave the Arctic to Trump's whims… or Beijing's checkbook.

UPDATE: German police are now conducting a nationwide manhunt for a man believed to be linked to the recent sabotage attempts targeting electricity infrastructure in North Rhine-Westphalia and Brandenburg.
Police say they received a letter claiming responsibility and are following up on the information contained in it. According to German media, the suspect is identified as Daniel V. from Gevelsberg.

Meanwhile, police launched another major operation near Weisweiler, close to Aachen, after the location was reportedly mentioned in the letter.

Forensic investigators in protective suits and respirators are searching several areas around the power plant and substation, including nearby fields and wooded areas.

Officers are also documenting the locations.

The investigation is now expanding across multiple locations as authorities try to determine whether the recent incidents are connected.

Oggi il nostro Governo diventa il più longevo della storia della Repubblica italiana.

È un dato che accolgo con gratitudine e con un forte senso di responsabilità. Perché la stabilità non è un record da esibire, ma la condizione che consente a una Nazione di programmare, decidere, mantenere gli impegni e farsi rispettare.

In questi anni abbiamo lavorato per aumentare l’occupazione, ridurre la disoccupazione, sostenere famiglie e imprese, rafforzare la sicurezza, governare i conti pubblici con serietà e restituire all’Italia peso e credibilità sulla scena internazionale. I risultati ci sono, ma sappiamo bene quante cose restino ancora da fare.

Questa stabilità non è merito di una persona sola. È il risultato di una coalizione unita, che governa da quattro anni con una visione comune e che ha scelto di stare insieme non contro qualcuno, ma per realizzare un progetto per l’Italia.

Non credo sia un caso che, da oggi, i tre Governi più longevi della storia repubblicana siano tutti governi di centrodestra. La stabilità si costruisce quando un’alleanza condivide valori, obiettivi e una visione della Nazione, non quando l’unica ragione per stare insieme è impedire agli altri di governare.

Ma soprattutto, questa stabilità esiste grazie agli italiani che nel 2022 ci hanno dato fiducia.

Una fiducia che non abbiamo mai considerato un assegno in bianco e che non daremo mai per scontata. Il prossimo anno torneremo davanti ai cittadini con quello che abbiamo fatto, con quello che resta da fare e con la nostra idea di futuro. E saranno ancora una volta loro a decidere se meritiamo di continuare questo cammino.

Intanto il lavoro va avanti.

E questa sera ci vediamo a Bari, insieme alla grande comunità di Fratelli d’Italia. Sarà l’occasione per guardarci negli occhi, fare il punto sulla strada percorsa e, soprattutto, parlare di quella che abbiamo ancora davanti.

🚨🇮🇱 Israel’s most technologically advanced submarine, INS Drakon, is now on its way home from Germany, becoming the sixth submarine in Israel’s fleet.

The advanced 73-meter Dolphin II submarine represents a major expansion of Israel’s long-range undersea capabilities and is expected to arrive in Haifa within weeks.

Equipped with air-independent propulsion and advanced Israeli technologies, Drakon is designed to operate covertly at long distances for extended periods, strengthening Israel’s intelligence, special operations, and strategic capabilities.

Much of Drakon’s capabilities remain classified. Its unusually enlarged sail has fueled foreign reporting about potential new weapons and mission systems, though Israel has not disclosed its configuration.

The Russian Embassy in Berlin has warned that locations hosting Germany’s planned long-range missile systems will become “legitimate military targets” for Russia if the weapons are deployed against it.

“Critics of unrestrained German militarization rightly point out that the deployment sites of such weapons will inevitably become legitimate military targets for Russia.”

Germany is developing long-range precision missile and drone capabilities designed to strike targets at distances of up to 2,000 kilometers, according to the embassy, which says Moscow would regard their deployment as a direct threat to Russia and the Union State.
