@monstroso Left wing empasises co-operation, right wing emphasises competition. Left wing emphasises decision-making based on utilitarianism, right wing based on established authority.
Nah. Men invented medals and promotions and levels. Every male dominated field like priesthood, freemasons, military is it's own microcosm of minutely specified hierarchies and levels with fancy insignia. Women think it's bollocks.
Women are dominating the corporate world for the same reason they are doing better in school โ they love structure and getting stickers for completing tasks
What an extraordinary talent!
Brian Wilson single-handedly raised the bar on how to write and arrange a great pop song. He inspired and touched so many songwriters, including me. It pushed the Beatles towards Sergeant Pepper and in God Only Knows he created a masterpiece that remains unmatched to this day.
God speed, Brian.

Thomas Piketty, a hugely influential economist, explicitly says that colonial extraction and unequal exchange have caused global inequality.
This is considered a fringe opinion in the mainstream economics community, so kudos to Piketty for rocking the boat.
Is everyone fucking nuts? Did we actually believe that after decades and decades of studying the brain and coming up with next to zilch, that a handful of rich, arrogant midwits in Silicon Valley would come to a full understanding of consciousness and deliver to us artificial general intelligence? Do you know that the Swiss Blue Brain Project and Human Brain Project, both terminated last year after years of expensive research, which sought to digitally reconstruct entire brains, discovered next to nothing useful about intelligence or consciousness, except that a brain, even a mouse brain, is so complex that it overwhelms super computers? Ten years of the HBP made "no major contributions" to an understanding of the brain. We do not understand the mind or the brain. AI is a toy, a fake. What we have is a language modelโan algorithm. Give it up. It is a joke.
This fascinating new research overturns longstanding assumptions. It finds that lower-income groups are more concerned about the environment, and prefer environmental protection over economic growth, compared to higher-income groups. Data from the USA.
The evacuation of over 300,000 Allied soldiers from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk, France, began #OnThisDay 1940.
On 5 June, the left-wing playwright J. B. Priestley used a BBC radio broadcast to pay tribute to the part played by the โlittle steamersโ.
too bad that Stephen Jay Gould was never awarded a (much-deserved) Pulitzer prize. three of us, Pulitzer jurors in non-fiction for that year, had chosen "Wonderful Life" to win; but the board overruled us.
see online:
"Stephen Jay Gould was a finalist for the 1991 Pulitzer Prize in General Nonfiction for his book, Wonderful Life: The Burgess Shale and the Nature of History. The winning book that year was And Their Children After Them by Dale Maharidge and Michael Williamson. The Pulitzer jury had unanimously recommended Wonderful Life for the prize, but the Pulitzer board rejected the recommendation."
