Absolutely right, recognising Somaliland is both a matter of justice and a strategic investment in Red Sea security, maritime stability, and regional prosperity, with Somaliland as a trusted democratic partner of the United States and and other likeminded countries.
"Somaliland must refuse Ethiopian military or naval bases. Hargeisa should consider basing requests only from superpowers, the United States, Russia and potentially China, to avoid becoming a victim of brown colonisation"

The representative of the Republic of Somaliland to Israel has dismissed regional opposition to Hargeisa’s sovereign recognition, framing the growing alliance between #Somaliland and #Israel as a transformative force for Red Sea security and economic development.
In an official address evaluating the progression of bilateral relations since Israel's formal recognition of the Republic of Somaliland in late 2025, Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Hagi reaffirmed that "Great things will be achieved across all fronts, advancing prosperity, security, and regional stability."
"I am not surprised that our adversaries oppose Somaliland’s recognition; they understand the strategic potential of a Somaliland–Israel partnership in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea, combining Somaliland’s natural resources and strategic position with Israeli expertise and technology. Great things will be achieved across all fronts, advancing prosperity, security, and regional stability." stated @AmbMohamedHagi

The Government of the Republic of Somaliland congratulates H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed on his re-election as Prime Minister of Ethiopia. We look forward to strengthening bilateral ties and advancing regional peace, stability and shared prosperity.
The Government of the Republic of Somaliland’s position has always been clear that our sovereignty and state continuity are non negotiable.
Independent since 26 June 1960, our nation determines its own foreign relations. Our statehood, recognition and sovereign partnerships are not subject to approval by Mogadishu or the signatories to the Al Alamein Declaration.
Political gatherings may produce headlines, but no such gathering can manufacture a veto over Somaliland’s future, erase its history, sovereignty, or the legitimate aspirations of its people.
Using the failed Mogadishu administration as a proxy against Somaliland will never work.
Somaliland is stepping up outreach to the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Berbera Times reports: investment around Berbera port, livestock trade and development projects, as Hargeisa pushes for recognition under President Irro.

“Somaliland has governed itself for 35 years and meets the criteria for statehood. It is a very rich country, particularly in natural resources such as minerals.” — H.E. President @AbdirahmanIrro
