THE EUCHARIST: THE GIFT OF CHRIST HIMSELF.
The Catholic Church professes that in the Most Holy Eucharist, Jesus Christ is truly, really and substantially present Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.
The Eucharist is not merely a symbol of Christ or a reminder of someone who lived long ago.
Under the appearances of bread and wine, the risen Lord gives Himself to His Church.
This mystery calls for faith, adoration and a life shaped by the One we receive.
Let us approach Holy Communion with reverence, examine our consciences and seek the Sacrament of Reconciliation when needed.
Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist, strengthen our faith and make our lives a worthy witness to Your love.
The roses Saint Thérèse holds aren’t just pretty flowers; they carry a special meaning tied to her own words and the way people still pray to her today. Before she died she promised that after she reached heaven she would spend her time doing good on earth and that she would send down a “shower of roses,” meaning little favors, answers to prayers, and unexpected graces.
So whenever she is shown with roses, it reminds us of that promisethe flowers stand for the simple, loving help she said she would keep giving. People who ask for her intercession sometimes notice roses appearing in their lives at meaningful moments, and many take that as a quiet sign that she is still keeping her word.
Dios te salve, María
llena eres de gracia;
Prayer to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary for the Sick and for Healing
O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary,
Our Lady of the Rosary, Health of the Sick,
Mother of Mercy and Comforter of the Afflicted,
We come to you with confidence and trust.
You who stood at the foot of the Cross and shared in the sufferings of your Son,
look with tender compassion on all who are sick and suffering.
Through the power of the Holy Rosary,
we ask your powerful intercession before the throne of your Son, Jesus, the Divine Physician.
Obtain for the sick the grace of healing of body, mind, and soul,
if it be according to God’s holy will.
Grant them strength in their trials,
peace in their pain,
hope in their suffering,
and the consolation of your maternal presence.
Protect those who care for them,
guide doctors and nurses with wisdom and skill,
and bring comfort to families who wait and worry.
O Mary, Health of the Sick,
enfold the afflicted in your mantle of love.
Present our prayers to Jesus,
and obtain for us the grace to accept His will with faith and surrender.
Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary,
Health of the Sick,
pray for us.
O blessed Archangel Gabriel, we beseech thee, do thou intercede for us at the throne of divine mercy in our present necessities, that as thou didst announce to Mary the mystery of the Incarnation, so through thy prayers and patronage in heaven we may obtain the benefits of the same, and sing the praise of God forever in the land of the living. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death,
Amen.
