Months into my grieving journey, I came to the realization that this had been other people’s reality too, long before it was mine. All those days I was living richly and happily, someone’s world had ended, that day was just my turn.
inviting your unemployed friend to a restaurant, watching them only order a non-alcoholic drink and no food, then STILL making them pay for that drink is crazy 😂
That lady was crashing out over R72 for a mocktail, sure, but honestly? Her heart was shattered by the experience.
Let's explain the process. The 🇿🇦 Embassy in Tokyo does not issue validation letters or offer licence renewals. You must apply directly to the RTMC in #SouthAfrica via email: [email protected]. For Japanese authorities to legally recognize your the RTMC letter, the document must be "Apostilled" by @DIRCO_ZA in Pretoria. This information is on the dirco website. The embassy official was not "xenophobic" but rather explaining that they simply couldn't assist.
If you're ever lost/stranded change your voicemail immediately to say where you are, who you were with, what time you arrived etc. When people notice you're missing and start calling you, the voicemail may just save your life especially if your phone goes dead or you have no service.
You guys are vastly underestimating how expensive it is to exist right now. Even gainfully employed people are borrowing money like mad just to get through the month.
The only thing you gain by doing shit like this prematurely is showing your potential client that you don’t value client confidentiality and cannot be trusted. Some people never learn.
this is why we need to ban podcasts because a real journalist would have pushed back on her very obvious lies, brought up the Mormon stuff and connection to ballerina farm.
What this means in simple terms
If a foreign couple has a baby in South Africa, the baby’s birth must be registered even if the parents are undocumented or overstayed their visas. The child must be issued a birth certificate recording the facts of their birth that can lately be used to register their children in their countries.
What it does not mean:
-It does not make the child a South African citizen.
-It does not give the parents legal status or permanent residence.
-It does not stop Home Affairs from deporting parents who are in the country unlawfully.
The judge specifically emphasized that birth registration does not automatically confer South African citizenship.
