@ramenjoondles yeah sadly there are libraries that lean more towards academics (def not a bad thing) but i'm just thankful that they took effort for making the whole place as inclusive as possible by putting in a wide variety of books, plus they take public feedback very seriously so that's why
@ramenjoondles yes!! alot of ppl tend to come here esp college students and those who study for licensure exams, but it's rlly a great thing for us bc we don't have to spend a dime for coffee shops and/or study hubs. plus our local govt values education!!! like very much
👀 The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Mindanao caused parts of the seabed to rise by as much as 2 metres and the coastline has reportedly moved out by around 200 metres.
The sudden uplift has exposed coral reefs, seagrass and marine habitats, leaving sea life stranded and causing damage to the underwater ecosystem. Officials found exposed coral and dead marine animals along affected areas.
It’s incredible to think about the force needed to physically lift the seabed out of the ocean like this.

anyway yeah we are still in the middle of recovery from the massive earthquake. apparently it made the seabed rise for about two meters, and the exposed corals are rotting as we speak.
