In the coming days (and for some lucky few), coming weeks, football will come to an end. Those hot pre-season practices have been replaced by the chill of season's end. As the 2024's prepare to ride off into the sunset, be sure to look around one last time and soak it all in. Listen closely to the click-clack of your cleats on concrete or the crunch of them in gravel. Take notice of the smell of your helmet, the tape on your wrists, the grass on the field. Those are some things you truly never get the opportunity to experience again. You can always find a pickup basketball game. You can always find some sort of bat and ball league. Golf, Swimming, Track are all lifetime sports. High School football is over way too fast, and can never be replicated. Enjoy the time, because it's gone way too fast.
