The kindest thing literature does is remind you that your peculiar little feelings have always existed. Someone, in some century, was equally confused by love, bored by society, tired of performing, and hungry for meaning.
You played your role as a guardian and didn't give in. That's all we're saying. A kid's "waywardness" is not an invitation to take advantage of them.
A parenting deficit like you mentioned or a child's lack of digital literacy does not dilute a teacher's professional liability.
@Beyond__Kontrol the headmaster could even reach the parents at the end of the day so why would you share your number with the same students that are missing school
you should know the kind of students you’re dealing with atp
discretion & boundaries are important in such environments too
The fact that not everyone in SHS is a minor doesn’t change the ethical issue. Teachers should never pursue romantic or sexual relationships with their students. The power imbalance makes genuine consent questionable and undermines the trust placed in educators. Hope this helps
So do people understand that it isn’t about their actions or consequences of their actions? They’re kids. Kids are immature. Kids will find ways and means to post on social media. Anyone below 18 is still a child, a teenager, an adolescent. Shortening their uniforms, twerking or being silly on social media are things kiddies do. You don’t say because they do it, then they’re bad so you’re to be enticed by them. It doesn’t make sense.
