You are no longer a neutral third party in this case, Seun Okinbaloye. You foolishly waded into waters you couldn't swim in.

Either you're too afraid of the rabid noise from the Obidient camp, or you're losing your professional touch.

A competent journalist would have made **both** sides address the issue. If you avoid questioning the actual source of the alleged falsehoods but grill only the other party, you've just spent your only coin of neutrality on frivolous adventure. At that point, it starts looking less like journalism and more like agenda management. Nice try, your "Obingo" membership card just got burnt by a smart lawyer.

This should be a lesson to all you so-called journalists: mediocrity and unnecessary partisanship on air are leaving a bitter taste on what should be your greatest asset—your credibility.

TV journalists should pay more attention to the millions of viewers at home who aren't glued to the social media circus. Too often, you kneecap yourselves by pandering to parking-lot arguments from social media, and that's not what belongs on live television. Save the beer-parlor debates for when you log on later. On air, wear your journalist's hat—not your social media warrior's cap.

Journalism isn't supposed to play favorites. Once the referee starts wearing a team jersey, don't be surprised when the crowd starts booing.

So, according to this school of thought, every petty trader in our society deserves a side-eye and a dismissal? Interesting. The same petty traders who are the backbone of our communities and the unofficial Ministry of Survival.

Many of us who now wear suits, carry briefcases, and speak big grammar are products of one Ìyá Alákàrà somewhere who woke up before sunrise to fry akara and keep the family afloat. Some people's success stories began not in boardrooms, but beside a smoking frying pan.

Our focus should be on celebrating hardworking Nigerians, no matter how humble the hustle may be. Instead, we're encouraging a generation that has perfected the art of looking down on honest livelihoods while waiting for billionaire status to arrive by WhatsApp message.

It has not. The reforms were not meant to improve the quality of life and living conditions of ordinary Nigerians in obvious ways yet.

According to IFC, reforms typically take between 2 and 10 years before ordinary citizens feel the effects in a broad and obvious way.

0–2 years: Citizens often feel the pain first:
-subsidy removal
-inflation
- currency devaluation
-layoffs/restructuring
- tax increases

2–5 years: If reforms are consistent, countries may start seeing:
-lower inflation
-currency stability
-improved investor confidence
-job creation in new sectors
-infrastructure improvements

5–10+ years: The deeper societal impacts usually emerge:
-higher incomes
-productivity growth
-stronger institutions
-better living standards
-more stable private sector growth

Everything listed above is according to the IMF, the OECD, and the WB. It is well researched especially during the reforms of the Asian tigers and Eastern Europe.

I can defend this further, but please tell me you rest this with honesty and you can't see that we are perfectly in line with the timelines.

I fear the mistake is that most media aides of the Presidency didn't communicate this well to people enough, and to be honest, I get it, nobody loves to hear that the next couple of years would be for suffering.

Curse out Asiwaju for the security issues all you want; I will totally support you. But you see this economy side: while more can certainly be done, the team has done the unprecedentals by African standards.

From Crash Site to Wedding Altar: Story of Courage, Destiny in Benue

A remarkable story of courage, destiny, and transformation has emerged from Benue State, spanning two decades and highlighting the impact of a single brave act.

On September 17, 2006, a Nigerian Army aircraft crashed over the Benue Valley, leaving uncertainty about the fate of those on board, including Major General Nuhu Bala Angbazo. In the critical moments that followed, help came from an unlikely source a 13-year-old boy from Mbakunu in Kwande Local Government Area.

The boy, Detimbir Chia, though untrained and unprepared, demonstrated exceptional bravery. He was among the first villagers who rushed to the crash site on Ngokur Mountain. Notably, Chia stood out for his ability to operate a mobile handset at the time, which he used to call for help, contributing significantly to the rescue of the survivors, including General Angbazo.

Another among the early responders was Vitalis Neji, who also joined other village youths in climbing the mountain to assist the injured officers.

Deeply moved by the young boy’s courage, General Angbazo made a life-changing decision to support Chia’s future. That decision would alter the course of the boy’s life.

Twenty years later, on April 4, 2026, that same boy, now Captain Detimbir Chia of the Nigerian Army, celebrated his wedding in a moment filled with symbolism and gratitude. Among the dignitaries present was General Angbazo, who stood in honour of the man whose life he had once entrusted to fate and bravery.

In a further twist of destiny, Vitalis Neji the same village youth who participated in the rescue effort attended the ceremony, this time as Chairman of Kwande Local Government Area and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Benue State.

The event served as a powerful reminder of how small acts of courage can shape destinies. From a remote mountain rescue in 2006 to a distinguished military career and a celebratory wedding in 2026, Captain Chia’s journey reflects the enduring value of opportunity, mentorship, and faith.

The inspiring story underscores a broader lesson: that seemingly ordinary moments and actions can have extraordinary consequences.

The smoke from the 2006 crash of a Nigerian Army aircraft on Ngokur Mountain has long since cleared, but the echoes of that day reached a beautiful crescendo on April 4, 2026. What began as a tragedy in the Benue Valley transformed into a twenty-year odyssey of gratitude, proving that a single act of bravery can redefine the horizon of a life.

But who is the 88 year old Prince Tajudeen Olusi?

- His Father Oba Sanusi Olusi was the Oba of Lagos also known as the Eleko of Eko from 1928 to 1931.

- His Mother was Princess Asake Olusi from Ado Ekiti. This means Pa Olusi has royal Royal blood from Lagos (Eko) and Ado Ekiti.

- He has been in active politics for over 60 years starting with Awo's Action Group till today's APC.

- As seen below he was duly elected as councillor in Lagos Town Councillor under AG at age 26.

- Pa Olusi, amongst others introduced the President to Lagos Politics in 1989 by bringing him into the Primrose Group and the Social Democratic Party.

- Before Tinubu joined Pa Olusi in Primrose and SDP, he worked at Mobil and he had provided generous financial support to the Primrose group and Lagos SDP whenever they needed him.

- The SDP supported his ambition to be a senator in 1992 and he won, defeating Kemi Nelson of the National Republican Convention (a distant relative) who became his close ally, later his Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (1999–2003) and finally the only female member of the Lagos State APC's Governance Advisory Council #GAC

- Since 1962 till today Pa Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi has been at the forefront of Progressive Political developments, mentoring future leaders like Bola Tinubu and others in Lagos state and beyond.
